MAIL SCANNING SERVICES

The i-Sentral suite of services provides businesses with design, implementation and management of their Information Security systems.

Based on e-sweeper software,
i-Sentral Scan
offers businesses the ability to outsource the management of their e-mail security. The service is monitored from a state-of-the-art Network Operations Centre (NOC) manned by a team of highly trained and accredited Security Engineers.

i-Sentral Scan provides total security for all electronic mail systems, by checking all inbound and outbound external e-mail for the following;

  • All known viruses
  • Spam and junk mail
  • Mail Bombs and oversized mails
  • Confidential documents
  • Inappropriate and profane material
  • All items that meet a customer defined criteria
  • The service can append a customer defined legal disclaimer to every outbound mail

i-Sentral Scan also provides a mail relay facility. In the event of a customer’s e-mail server not being available, all e-mail will be queued until such time as a normal service is resumed.


3 steps to deployment

  • One day on-site consultancy from an i-Sentral Security Engineer
  • DNS records are changed to re-direct all MX records to i-Sentral Scan
 

 

  • Service can be fully available within 48hrs following receipt of order


 

 

  • User 1 in Company 'A' sends an external mail to User 4 in Company 'B'
  • The e-mail is transported by the ISP
  • The e-mail is sent via the NOC (Network Operations
    Centre) and passed through the i-Sentral Scan service
  • Supported by Service Level Agreement
 
  • The e-mail is now scanned for viruses, profanities, mail size limit etc. and the legal disclaimer is added. All of this happens without a time delay
  • If the e-mail is cleared it will be forwarded to the recipient. If the e-mail failed any of the checks, it will be quarantined and your network administrator will be notified
